Woke up early as I had a job interview today in a furniture export company. I took official leave. My younger brother took me to Jagorawi toll exit where I found the bus passing by Komdak.

The interview went well, but they were looking for an export sales/marketing officer for Italian and Benelux requiring language skills of Italian and Dutch. I can’t speak both. This is the first interview. The second interview will be held next two weeks when the owner comes, if I passed the first one. Apart from the matter of being the selected candidates for future steps or not, of course, I got some new insights. Particularly, the commission based on container. The interviewer said that the commission per container for rattan products is about USD 70 and reaches USD 200 for teak products. Hmmm…not bad.

After the interview, I made an appointment with a friend working in Pasar Minggu. We had a lunch together in Sate Pancoran. She shared her experience in dealing with cigarette distribution in her hometown. How to recruit salespersons, their commissions, how to control them, etc. I found her information valuable, especially for my knowledge. Perhaps I can apply some of them in my jobs or future jobs :)

I went to Gramedia Cibinong after the lunch and the chat. I tried to find a book about details of job description for each department and role in a manufacturing company. I could not find the book I wanted. However, I found a book about processing export documents based on Letter of Credit. Also, I bought a book titled La Tahzan for Smart Muslimah.
